Carnies!

Every carnival has what we refer to as "Carnie Rats"! While visiting the carnival in Nephi, I was able to capture a few of these very "special" people!

Random things we saw while on vacation

We saw a lot of things while we were on vacation. But there were a few that deserved to be on the random blog. We came upon a bike marathon on our way there. We ask about it and we were told there were over 15,000 bikers that participate. They bike from Seattle to Portland, over 200 miles. Does not sound fun!

We ran into one of the largest men we have ever seen without a shirt on at Wolf Lodge.

The health department in Forks will fine you if you spit on the sidewalk.

We saw a nuclear power plant, in of all places, Washington, the greenest place ever.
We found every pot heads dream town...Weed

Wonder Wheeler PLUS!!

While visiting California in June, I notice a crazy amount of people pulling or pushing around a cart. Now this cart isn't just your normal shopping cart, I noticed that this special cart has many uses. You can use it to take your laundry to the launder mat....because we all go to the launder mat; you can haul your groceries home, because you are saving on gas & can't take your car to the grocery store; what about your dog, or ever your kid, but most of all, it is just to haul around all of your CRAP !
Every time I would look out the window while driving around in the Concord area, I would see one of the carts! I think that everyone needs to get one, they would be so useful for all kinds of activities!

After much research, I have found that the best place to purchase one is at Ace Hardware (store or website). There are many to choose from, but my personal preference is the WONDER WHEELER PLUS!! I mean come on, it says you can carry, a Chair, cooler, it has WIDE wheels AND it is collapsible. A chair & cooler sold it for me! So for only $74.99, this WONDER can be yours!!

Skeletor

Remember Skeletor from the cartoon He-Man and the Masters of the Universe? We thought it was dead long ago until we went to LA yesterday. While we were standing in the parking garage in Beverley Hill's we saw Skeletor. This poor woman couldn't have been 90 pounds soaking wet. She had to be in her seventy's but she was going for a more youthful look. I wouldn't even venture to guess how many face lifts she has had in her life time. But she needs to fork out for a better plastic surgeon. The look he gave her reminded us of Skeletor!

4th of July

We went to a parade in Martinez this morning a captured a few pics we thought were random blog material. A poodle with red stripes, a Santa looking guy on a motorcycle and leopard print pants.

Hey Slackers

I know there is crazy stuff happening in Lemington all the time. You better start posting it! How can we have a good laugh at small town life if you don't keep us up on the good stuff. By the way, what is central air? LOL

Do you have pride?

Ken had to run to the city this morning to fix the phones and low and behold today was the Gay Pride Parade. He hurriedly got out of the city so he didn't get caught in the mayhem. After he got home he said he wished he would have taken a few pictures before he got out of town to add to the random blog. There are some pretty "interesting" people running around on parade day. Sorry but we're picture less and we don't have pride.

Helicopter chasers

We were sitting in our family room about 5pm and we heard a helicopter flying over the house. Shelisa and I ran outside into the backyard to see what was going on. Sure enough there was a helicopter flying super low over the neighborhood and it was landing at the elementary school. We jumped in the car and drove down, but it was back up and flying around the neighborhood again. We drove around the neighborhood a bit and saw an ambulance, police and a firetruck. We saw some friends out on the street and asked them if they knew what was going on and they said someone was hurt and they had to fly them out. The helicopter landing in the church parking lot and air lifted the person out. It gave us 10 minutes of fun on a Sunday afternoon.

Only in California

Ken and I went to dinner in Walnut Creek last night. We've lived in California for almost 14 years and things don't take us by surprise anymore. We just laugh and now we put it on the random blog. So there was a group of cyclist that were protesting the closing of a bunch of California State Parks. They were riding their bike in their swimming suits (I hope) and had messages painted on their bodies. They posed for my random blog picture.

SAVE OUR STATE PARKS!
